Vascular Surgery

Vascular surgery is a branch of surgery that deals with diagnosing and managing diseases of the vascular system, the arteries and veins outside the heart and brain. A vascular surgeon completes a general surgery residency training program and then completes fellowship training in vascular surgery.

Vascular surgery procedures include the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (both open and stent graft repair), carotid artery disease, varicose veins, peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAD), acute limb ischemia, and other diseases of the arteries and veins.

Additionally, many procedures Dr. Fleisher performs are accomplished with an outpatient approach percutaneously to treat blockages in blood vessels. Angioplasty, stenting, and atherectomy are some of these techniques.

  • AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurism) repair
