VNUS Closure – Varicose Vein Treatment

The VNUS Closure procedure performed in our office by Dr. Fleisher is a minimally invasive treatment for pain and swelling in the legs caused by varicose veins. The Closure procedure helps eradicate varicose veins by treating their underlying cause, venous reflux, with little to no pain involved. Closure patients walk out of our office right after the procedure and typically return to normal everyday activities within one day! The closure procedure has the longest successful track record of any minimally invasive vein procedure.

Venous reflux (or venous insufficiency) develops when the valves in the veins that normally keep blood from flowing backward down into the leg become damaged or diseased. The Closure procedure “closes” the vein responsible for this reflux. Blood flow is routed to the larger, deeper veins in the leg, and the varicose veins disappear.

Patients experiencing varicose vein problems can set up an appointment to come to the office and have an ultrasound of the leg(s) and vein(s) involved. Dr. Fleisher will review the results and consult with you regarding whether or not he feels the Closure is right for you.
