Homer L. Fleisher, III, M.D., P.A., F.A.C.S.

General Surgeon Dr. Fleisher

Born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 29, 1952, Dr. Homer L. Fleisher, III was raised in Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois from 1970 to 1977 where he earned B.S. and M.S. degrees. He entered Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1977 and completed his M.D. in 1980. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Fleisher started his General Surgery residency at the Southern Illinois University Affiliated Hospitals in Springfield, Illinois. He completed his Chief Resident and final year in 1985. Wanting to take his training and education a step further, Dr. Fleisher came to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock for a Vascular Surgery fellowship. He completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship in 1987. This additional educational training enables Dr. Fleisher to care for patients with peripheral vascular disease and other complex vascular issues.

Returning to the north, Dr. Fleisher entered private practice in Appleton, Wisconsin. He practiced there until 1998. At that time, he had an opportunity to return to Arkansas. Since 1998, Dr. Fleisher has been an Active Staff member at Conway Regional Medical Center practicing General and Vascular Surgery with Surgical Associates of Conway. He performs all types of general surgery, both open and minimally invasive, and he specializes in surgery of the blood vessels, both veins and arteries.

Dr. Fleisher and his wife, Jean, have three children, Mike, Christin, and Jim. He teaches part-time at the University of Central Arkansas and is active in his church. He enjoys golfing and outdoor activities.
